The Dicterow-DeMaine-Biegel Piano Trio
The renowned concert pianist, Jeffrey Biegel,
has brought together two world-class musicians - violinist,
Glenn Dicterow, and cellist, Robert DeMaine to form
the Dicterow-DeMaine-Biegel Piano Trio.
The mission of the Dicterow-DeMaine-Biegel Piano Trio
is to establish their reputation as one of
the world's leading interpreters of the standard works for
piano trio.
"The trio may be new, but its members are veteran musicians.
The three performers proved that, despite the newness of their ensemble,
they are already masters of musical teamwork. Pianist Biegel was strong
when necessary but not prone to domineer, and Dicterow and DeMaine produced warm tones."
"You expect such replication of interpretation in piano trios
that have toured together for years, but it was surprising in a newly formed one.
The reason for this is that all three musicians have the same ideas about how
Brahms should be played. In addition, there is little doubt that they have
played the work many times with other musicians. They delivered a memorable
performance."
